Acting needs a box ticked when the member connects. Without it the assistant reads and suggests, nothing more.
A preview before every change

The assistant shows what will change and who will be told. The approval is tied to that change and expires after 10 minutes.
The same rules as the web app

It acts as the member, within their role in each program and the program’s limits. It never sees the password.
Other people’s words stay data

Profiles, messages and answers written by others reach the assistant as data, so instructions hidden in them are not followed.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Mentornity connector?

A connection between Mentornity and an AI assistant over MCP, the open standard assistants use to reach other software. Once connected, a mentor or mentee uses Mentornity from Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP assistant, as themselves.

Which assistants does it work with?

Claude on the web, desktop and mobile, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other assistants that support remote MCP servers.

Does it cost anything?

No. The connector is included for every member at no extra cost. The assistant is the member’s own, on whatever plan they already use.

Can the assistant change things without asking?

No. It only looks unless the member allows more when connecting, and even then every change shows a preview and waits for a yes.

Can a program admin turn it off?

Yes, per program, in Settings › Privacy › AI assistants. It is on by default, and off by default for programs with single sign-on or a partner brand.

What stays in the web app?

Admin work, the profile photo, file, date and phone questions in forms, and signing up for events. Everything else a mentor or mentee does day to day can be asked in the chat.

How is it different from Mentornity AI?

Mentornity AI is the assistant in the admin panel that runs the program with its administrators. The connector is for mentors and mentees, in their own assistant.
