Corrections in applications and names

A misspelled name or e-mail is no longer permanent. Fix it before you accept an application, or propose a correction to an active member.

On the Applications page you can correct an applicant’s first name, last name and e-mail before accepting. For someone without an account yet, the pencil beside the name on their page changes the details. You do not change an active member’s name, you propose it: the member accepts or declines on a card.

Fix before accepting

Edit details corrects an applicant’s first name, last name and e-mail while the applicant has no account.

Invitations follow the new address

When the e-mail is corrected, pending invitations move to the new address on their own. An address that belongs to another account is refused.

A proposal to an active member

The member accepts or declines the proposed name. One proposal can be open per person, and it lapses after 14 days.

No double applications

A new application from an e-mail that is already a member or has a pending application is not recorded. Someone with the same first and last name but another e-mail confirms they are a different person.

Where to find it Admin panel → Users → Applications → Edit details. A person’s page → the pencil beside the name.
