Mentoring Tools
Mentors send their mentees short exercises from a library of 26 tools. The mentee fills the tool in and they talk the answers through together.
The match page now has a Tools card. The mentor picks a tool from the library, adds a short note if they like and sends it. The mentee fills it in step by step. When the answers are submitted, the mentor gets an email. Both see the answers, the charts and the discussion questions together.
26 tools in six themes
Working together, self-knowledge, goals and action, career and network, venture, and reflection. The Working Agreement, the Balance Wheel, the Development Plan and the Experiment Card are a few of them.
Tried before it is sent
The mentor sees a preview of every tool. With Try it as the mentee they fill it in themselves to see how it feels. The trial saves nothing.
One task per screen
The mentee fills the tool in step by step and sees the answers once more before sending. Waiting tools show on the home page and as a counter in the menu.
Answers start the conversation
Both see the answers and the discussion questions and can comment on an answer. The mentor keeps a private note and can ask for the tool to be filled in again.
Only the matched pair sees the answers
The mentor sees the answers only once they are submitted, never a draft. The program team does not see the answers.
You choose which tools are on
In Program Settings, on the Mentoring Tools tab, you turn all tools off or hide single tools.
A presentation for every tool
The Tools page on mentornity.com explains why each tool works and where it comes from. Every tool has its own presentation for mentors and for mentees.
Where to find it Platform → match page → Tools → Assign a tool. For members: Tools in the menu. Admin panel → Program Settings → Mentoring Tools.
