Admin panel

Live Demo: Show the Product Instead of Describing It

A button in the panel’s top bar — a step-by-step tour through the real screens, on invented data.

Explaining a feature is hard: screenshots go stale, the explanation drags on, and you cannot walk through your own live programme with your own real members. The Live Demo solves exactly that — a guided tour through the application’s own screens, with an invented programme and invented people. The tour takes the shape of your programme: groups if you run groups, a pool if you run a pool, and a feature you have switched off is never shown. Until now the button only appeared for people who knew a URL parameter; it is on for every admin now.

The "Live Demo" button in the top bar

Press it and the tour picker opens. Leave whenever you like and you land back on the page you were on; abandoning a tour halfway costs nothing.

Seven admin tours

Guide & Dashboard, adding participants, the matching list, the matching algorithm, reports, awarding certificates and groups. Each tour runs on its own screen, and the tooltip names the actual button in front of you.

See it from a participant’s seat too

The same picker hands you a mentor or mentee seat: the home page, publishing hours, planning a meeting, booking from the pool, the road to a certificate. "How does a member see this?" is now something you can show.

The tour takes your programme’s shape

The demo reads which of your settings are on and sets itself up accordingly. Only the shape travels — your programme’s name, its members and its data never enter the demo.

In six languages

The tour speaks the panel’s language: Turkish, English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch. Role names arrive in your programme’s own words.

It makes you click, not just watch

Some steps say "press this" and wait for you; they move on once you do. Steps that fill a form open with an example value already in it, so you never have to invent one.

It never touches your data

The demo runs in its own sandbox: it creates no records, sends nobody an email and changes none of your programme’s settings. Nothing is left behind when you leave.

What it is good for

  • Onboarding a new admin: whoever joins your team walks the tour alone on day one, and you do not have to narrate it.
  • An internal presentation: when you say "this is how the system works", you show the screens rather than screenshots of them.
  • Getting to know a feature you do not use: walk the certificates or matching-algorithm tour and see what it is before you set it up.
  • Seeing what a member sees: when a support question comes in, you open the mentor’s screen yourself.
