Best Mentoring Software in 2026: A Buyer's Comparison

Updated: October 8, 2026 9 min read

The best mentoring software is the one that fits your program’s size, segment and budget, not the one with the longest feature list. Start by deciding who the program is for, whether you need enterprise integrations, and whether you want public pricing or a sales process. Then shortlist two or three platforms and pilot one with real participants.

This page compares eight mentoring platforms on facts each vendor publishes about itself. It is a buyer’s map, not a ranking.

How did we compare these platforms?

Read this first. Mentornity publishes this page, and Mentornity is one of the eight vendors listed. That makes us an interested party, not a neutral reviewer. To keep it fair, we used only information from each vendor’s own website, checked on October 8, 2026, and we list vendors alphabetically rather than ranking them. Prices and features change: verify everything with the vendor before you decide.

We looked at seven criteria a program owner usually needs answered before booking a demo:

  1. Pricing transparency. Is a price, or at least a starting price, published? Or is it quote-only?
  2. Free plan or trial. Can you try the platform without a sales call?
  3. Target segment. Who does the vendor say it builds for: enterprises, universities, associations, non-profits, startups?
  4. Matching approach. How does the vendor describe matching (rules, AI-suggested, self-selection)?
  5. Scheduling. Does the vendor list meeting booking or calendar integration?
  6. Languages. Does the vendor state that the platform runs in more than one language?
  7. Reporting. What does the vendor say about analytics and exports?

We did not include review scores. They move every month and differ between review sites and regions, so check G2 or Capterra directly. We also left out vendors whose own website we could not load when we checked.

How do the platforms compare at a glance?

All facts as of October 2026, from each vendor’s own website. “Not stated” means we did not find it on the pages we checked, not that the feature is missing.

What does each mentoring platform offer?

Chronus

Chronus positions itself as a platform for “Enterprise Businesses Worldwide” and also lists federal government, professional associations, higher education and non-profits. Its homepage lists AI matching, AI-guided conversations, reporting and insights, courses, ERGs and communities, integrations with “HRIS, SSO, calendar & more”, and “SOC 2, GDPR, FedRAMP ready” security. Pricing is quote-only: the pricing page asks you to request a price, with demo booking as the next step. (Source: chronus.com and chronus.com/pricing, checked October 2026.)

MentorcliQ

MentorcliQ describes itself as “Enterprise Mentoring Software & ERG Management” for HR and L&D leaders. It lists mentor–mentee matching, program success tracking, ROI measurement, ERG management (CommunityCliQ), and integrations with HRIS, chat and collaboration tools. Its pricing page shows three plans: CliQ Start, “starting at $9,900” a year for 100 employees, and CliQ Plus and CliQ Complete at custom pricing. No free plan or trial is mentioned. (Source: mentorcliq.com and mentorcliq.com/pricing, checked October 2026.)

Mentoring Complete

Mentoring Complete addresses workplaces, academic institutions, professional associations and non-profits. It lists one-to-one, self-directed and group program types, AI-based “Precision Matching”, a mobile app, a success coach and certification courses. Its pricing page publishes annual list prices: Precision Matching from $5,000 a year, then Starter ($10,000), Scale ($15,000) and Enterprise ($25,000), each marked with an asterisk the page does not explain. No free plan or trial is mentioned. (Source: mentoringcomplete.com and mentoringcomplete.com/pricing, checked October 2026.)

Mentorloop

Mentorloop lists workplaces, membership associations, communities and universities. Its feature list includes matching, sentiment feedback, participant management, analytics and reporting, momentum management, integrations, and an AI co-coordinator. The pricing page shows a Pro plan “starting from $299/mo” (no currency code shown) and an Enterprise plan at “Contact us” with SSO, integrations and a bespoke matching algorithm. The page also says “Build your program for free, no credit card required”, and mentions a Community Support Program for charities and non-profits. (Source: mentorloop.com and mentorloop.com/pricing, checked October 2026.)

Mentornity

Mentornity, which publishes this page, runs programs for companies, universities, accelerators, communities and women’s organizations. Matching is rule-based: admins set weighted rules and mandatory filters, every pair gets a 0–100 score, and each suggestion can be reviewed side by side; mentor matching explains the details. Mentors publish availability that mentees book, with Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams links generated automatically and two-way Google and Outlook calendar sync. Reports export as CSV, Excel or PDF. The platform runs in English, Turkish, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch. It is free for up to 10 users, and pricing is published per country: $289 a month for 50 active users in the United States, with no setup fees. SAML SSO and white labeling are priced separately.

PushFar

PushFar says it connects people across “corporations, educational institutions, and professional organisations”. Its homepage lists ready-to-launch program templates, smart matching, analytics dashboards, gamification, SSO (SAML), GDPR controls, white-label options, HRIS/LMS integration and calendar sync. We found no pricing page on its website (the pricing link we tried led to an error page), and the homepage’s call to action is “Request A Demo”. (Source: pushfar.com, checked October 2026.)

Qooper

Qooper addresses HR, L&D and talent teams in enterprises, and also lists universities, associations, healthcare (nurse preceptor programs), sales teams and ERGs. Its feature list includes smart matching with AI-suggested matches, program design templates, a training library, automated follow-ups, tracking and reporting with an ROI dashboard, integrations and multi-language support. Pricing is quote-only: the page says pricing “is structured to align with how the platform will be used rather than fixed packages”. (Source: qooper.io and qooper.io/pricing, checked October 2026.)

Together

Together targets organizations, particularly large enterprises, with HR, L&D, department leads and community managers as buyers. It lists customizable matching criteria, session booking through calendar integrations, dashboards and surveys, HRIS integration, Microsoft Teams integration, multi-language support, SOC 2 and SAML/SSO. Pricing is quote-based; the pricing page says you “only pay for actively matched users” and that pricing includes implementation and support with no initiation fees. Which type of tool fits which program?

Segment matters more than any single feature. Use the vendors’ own positioning as a first filter, then test.

Program typeWhat usually matters mostQuestions to ask vendors

Associations and non-profitsMember self-selection, low admin effort, predictable costIs pricing published? Is there a plan for community or non-profit programs?

When is an enterprise platform the better fit?

Some programs are better served by a large enterprise vendor, and it is worth saying so plainly.

  • You need a deep integration catalog. If your IT team requires HRIS sync with a specific system, chat-tool integrations, or a long list of connectors, vendors like Chronus, MentorcliQ and Together list HRIS integration on their websites. Ask each one for the exact systems.
  • Compliance documentation is a gate. If procurement requires SOC 2 reports, or a US public-sector requirement such as FedRAMP, check which vendors state these. Chronus and Together list SOC 2 on their homepages, and Chronus says it is “FedRAMP ready”.
  • You want a services-led rollout. Several enterprise vendors bundle implementation, strategy and a dedicated success team. MentorcliQ lists a “Dedicated Success Coach” in its higher plans, and Together says implementation and support are included in its pricing.
  • ERGs are part of the brief. If employee resource groups need to live in the same platform, MentorcliQ, Chronus and Qooper all list ERG features.
  • You have thousands of participants and a global HR stack. Enterprise platforms are built and sold for that scale, with procurement processes to match.

If none of these apply, a self-serve platform with published pricing is often faster to evaluate and launch.

How do you pick from your shortlist?

A practical sequence that works regardless of vendor:

  1. Write down three must-haves (for example SSO, group mentoring, Spanish UI) and drop any vendor that cannot show them.
  2. Get a real price in writing for your expected number of active users, including setup, SSO and white labeling.
  3. Ask for the admin’s view. Watch someone run matching, chase an inactive pair and export a report.
  4. Pilot with a small cohort of real mentors and mentees for a few weeks before signing an annual contract.
  5. Check references in your own segment, and read recent reviews on G2 or Capterra.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best mentoring software?

There is no single best tool, because the right one depends on your program. A thousand-seat corporate rollout with HRIS and SSO requirements needs different software from a 40-person accelerator cohort or an alumni program. Start from your segment, budget and must-have features, then shortlist two or three platforms and run a real pilot.

Which mentoring platforms publish their prices?

As of October 2026, MentorcliQ, Mentoring Complete, Mentorloop and Mentornity show at least a starting price on their own websites. Chronus, Qooper and Together ask you to request pricing or book a demo, and we found no pricing page on PushFar's site. Prices change, so check each vendor's pricing page before you budget.

Is there free mentoring software for organizations?

A few vendors let you start without paying. Mentornity is free for up to 10 users with every feature switched on, and Mentorloop's pricing page says you can build your program for free with no credit card. Most enterprise platforms offer a demo rather than a free plan.

What should I compare when choosing mentoring software?

Compare pricing transparency, whether you can try it before buying, the segment the vendor actually builds for, how matching works, how meetings get scheduled, which languages the platform runs in, and what reports you can export. Ask to see the administrator's daily workflow, not only the participant demo.

Is this comparison neutral?

No. Mentornity publishes this page and is one of the vendors listed. We kept it to public facts from each vendor's own website, cited the source and checked date for each one, and avoided rankings. Treat it as a starting list and verify everything with the vendors themselves.
