Qooper Alternative: Qooper vs Mentornity Compared

Updated: October 8, 2026 7 min read

A Qooper alternative is worth looking at if you want published pricing, a free way to start, or a lighter setup than an enterprise rollout. Qooper is enterprise mentoring software with quote-only pricing, a broad HRIS integration list and a dedicated customer success manager. If those are what you need, Qooper may already be the right choice.

This page puts Qooper and Mentornity side by side using only what each vendor publishes about itself.

Read this first. Mentornity publishes this page, so we are an interested party. Every Qooper fact below comes from qooper.io, checked in October 2026, with the page cited next to it. “Not stated” means we did not find it on the pages we checked, not that the feature is missing. Ask Qooper directly before you decide.

What is Qooper?

Qooper describes itself as “Enterprise Mentoring Software for Employee Development at Scale” and says it helps enterprises scale mentoring to support retention, leadership development and internal mobility (source: qooper.io, checked October 2026).

The use cases it lists are broad:

  • org-wide and career mentoring
  • new hire onboarding, including buddy programs and nurse preceptor programs
  • high-potential and leadership development
  • AI adoption mentoring
  • employee resource groups (ERGs) and communities
  • student peer mentoring and alumni mentoring for universities

Its product menu lists a mentoring app, mentor matching, groups, learning, reporting and analytics, ERG software and “Qooper AI”, which includes AI-suggested matches, personalized agendas, an AI mentorship trainer and people insights (source: qooper.io, checked October 2026). The homepage states that Qooper is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant.

How does Qooper price its platform?

Qooper does not show a price. Its pricing page is titled “Request Pricing” and its FAQ says pricing “is structured to align with how the platform will be used rather than fixed packages”. It names program scope, participant volume and organizational requirements as the inputs, and recommends a short demo to get an accurate number (source: qooper.io/pricing, checked October 2026).

The same page lists what is included: a dedicated customer success manager, program design consultation, technical support, professional trainers, mentor training courses and launch materials such as email templates and landing pages.

Mentornity publishes its price for every country on its pricing page. It is free for up to 10 users, and above that the US price is $289 a month for 50 active users, with no setup fees. White labeling and SAML SSO are priced separately.

What this means for a buyer: with a quote-based vendor, budget certainty arrives after the sales conversation. With published pricing, you can model cost before talking to anyone. Neither is wrong; it depends on how your procurement works.

How does matching differ?

Both platforms let program teams set their own matching criteria and weights, and both keep a human in the loop.

Qooper describes a “fully customizable matching algorithm” where teams build profile questions, choose criteria and rank them with weights. AI-assisted matching adds recommendations, administrators review and finalize pairs, and programs can turn on self-matching so mentees choose their own mentor. Qooper says it avoids “a fully automated black-box decision” (source: qooper.io/mentor-mentee-matching, checked October 2026).

Mentornity uses a rule-based, deterministic algorithm. It compares profile fields using weighted rules and mandatory filters, scores every pair from 0 to 100, and shows each proposal in a side-by-side view with every rule marked as met or not met. The same data always gives the same result. See how Mentornity’s mentor matching works.

The practical question for your pilot: can you explain to a participant why they were matched with someone? Ask both vendors to show you.

When Qooper is the better fit

Some programs will be better served by Qooper, and it is worth being clear about when.

  • You need HRIS sync with a named system. Qooper’s integrations page lists Workday (described as bi-directional), BambooHR, ADP, Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG and Paycor, plus SFTP for data transfer. Mentornity’s pages do not list HRIS integrations; participants come in through Excel import or application forms.
  • You want a services-led rollout. A dedicated customer success manager, program design consultation and professional trainers are listed as included on Qooper’s pricing page.
  • Compliance documents are a procurement gate. Qooper states SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliance, and its integrations page mentions FedRAMP-certified hosting, which matters for some US public-sector buyers.
  • Your participants need a language Mentornity does not offer. Qooper says its interface is available in more than 30 languages. Mentornity runs in six. If you need German, French or another language outside those six, check Qooper’s list.
  • ERGs and learning content belong in the same platform. Qooper lists ERG software and a learning module alongside mentoring.
  • You expect native mobile apps. Qooper lists apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play on its integrations page.

When might a lighter tool fit better?

A lighter, self-serve platform tends to suit:

  1. Pilots and small programs. If you have under a few dozen participants, a free tier lets you run a real cohort before any budget conversation.
  2. Teams without an implementation budget. If you want to launch in days rather than run a project, check whether the vendor lets you set up alone.
  3. Programs outside the enterprise HR stack. Accelerators, alumni networks, associations and community programs often do not need HRIS sync.
  4. Buyers who need a number first. If your approval process starts with a price, published pricing saves a round of calls.
  5. Mixed-language programs in the six supported languages. Mentornity sends all of its more than 35 notification email types in each recipient’s own language.

What should you ask both vendors before deciding?

Use the same questions with Qooper, Mentornity and anyone else on your list, and get the answers in writing.

  1. What will we pay in year one and year two for our expected number of active participants, including setup, SSO, white labeling and support?
  2. Can we try it with real participants before signing, and for how long?
  3. Which exact systems do you integrate with, and who builds and maintains the connection?
  4. Which languages are fully available in the participant interface and in notification emails, not just in marketing pages?
  5. How do you explain a match to a mentor or mentee who asks why they were paired?
  6. What does the administrator do each week, and how does the platform flag pairs that have stopped meeting?
  7. What can we export, in which formats, and can we take our data with us if we leave?

If a vendor cannot answer one of these in the first call, note it. Gaps that appear before signing rarely close after it.

What other alternatives should you consider?

Qooper is one of several enterprise mentoring platforms. For a wider view:

Whichever you shortlist, ask each vendor to show the administrator’s daily work: running matching, chasing a quiet pair, exporting a report. That tells you more than the participant demo.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Qooper cost?

Qooper does not publish prices. As of October 2026 its pricing page is titled "Request Pricing" and says pricing is structured around how the platform will be used rather than fixed packages, with a short demo recommended to get an accurate figure. Program scope, participant volume and organizational requirements are named as the factors.

Does Qooper have a free plan or free trial?

We found no free plan or free trial on Qooper's homepage or pricing page in October 2026. The call to action throughout the site is to schedule a demo. Mentornity, by comparison, is free for up to 10 users with every feature switched on.

What is a good alternative to Qooper?

It depends on why you are looking. If you need a large HRIS integration catalog and a dedicated customer success manager, other enterprise platforms are the closest match. If you want published pricing, a free start and a self-serve setup, a lighter platform such as Mentornity may fit. Shortlist two or three and pilot one with real participants.

Qooper or Mentornity for a university program?

Both list university programs. Qooper's universities page covers student peer mentoring, alumni mentoring and career services. Mentornity runs alumni and student programs with public application forms and certificates. Compare them on how students sign up, how matching works for your fields, and what each costs at your expected volume.

Is this comparison neutral?

No. Mentornity publishes this page. We used only facts each vendor states on its own website, cited the page and the check date, and included a section on when Qooper is the better fit. Verify everything with both vendors before deciding.
