The End of the Meeting With No Video Link
When a mentor’s video account is not connected, you now see it BEFORE anyone books — on every screen.
If a mentor had never connected their Zoom or Google account, or the connection had stopped working, meetings booked in those hours were created with no video link — and it was usually discovered at the time of the meeting. That is no longer silent: the same warning now appears on the mentor’s own availability page, in the mentor list, on the booking confirmation and in the admin panel. The warning makes no promise about the meeting; it states the account’s condition — because if the mentor connects before the day, the links for their upcoming meetings are filled in automatically.
The mentor sees it on their own page
At the top of the availability page: "you publish hours on this platform, but that account is not connected". They can connect from that button without leaving the page.
In the mentor list, next to the hour
Before anybody books, the mentor’s card says "account not connected" beside the place. A link-less meeting is no longer a surprise.
On the booking confirmation
Said once more just before you confirm: this meeting will be created with no video link, only the mentor can connect the account, and the link is completed if they do.
In the admin panel and the calendar
A badge on the mentor’s profile and in the programme calendar: which platform, how many blocks. The admin sees it before the mentor notices.
"Tell the mentor" — a draft you can edit
The button beside the warning writes the message for you; you read it before sending and change it if you want. It also tells the mentor where to connect.
An email before anyone books
A mentor publishing hours without a working account on that platform gets a warning before a booking arrives — in 6 languages, and never more than once every 28 days for the same mentor.
For hand-written places too
When the meeting place was typed by hand, the screen says why there is no link instead of just "no link": this is not a video platform, so the link is yours to add. The mentor card carries a "no link added" badge as well.
An expired connection no longer reads as connected
When an integration expired, the account still introduced itself as a "connected account". A broken connection now looks broken, and arrives with a reconnect button.
What it is good for
- No "where is the link?" at meeting time: the problem is visible before the booking.
- Reminding a mentor without blaming them: the "tell the mentor" button has already written the polite, correct text.
- Admins see it first: a badge in the calendar is the cue to write to that mentor.
- Hand-written places: who is supposed to add the link is no longer ambiguous.
