Single Sign-On (SAML) and White Label in Mentornity

Updated: October 8, 2026 4 min read

SAML single sign-on (SSO) and white labeling are two separate features in Mentornity that organizations usually ask about together, because both are set up for you rather than something your own admin account configures. SSO changes how members log in; white labeling changes how the platform looks and what domain it lives on. This guide explains what each one actually does, who configures it, what you’ll need to provide, and how members experience it once it’s live.

What is SAML single sign-on in Mentornity?

SAML SSO lets your organization’s members sign in to Mentornity using the identity they already have with your company, through your own identity provider, instead of a separate Mentornity sign-in. If your organization requires it, Mentornity can make this mandatory: members are redirected into the single sign-on flow and logged out through it as well.

When mandatory SSO is active, the in-app guide that members see includes a note reading Sign in with single sign-on (SSO): with an SSO login link into your organization’s sign-in flow.

What does white labeling include?

White labeling covers how the platform looks and where it lives for your members, separate from how they log in. In Mentornity, it includes:

  • A custom domain (and any alias domains you need) instead of a shared Mentornity address.
  • Your own logo, favicon, and app-bar logo.
  • A color theme applied across the interface, buttons, badges, and the left-hand menu.
  • Custom-branded login, invite, and password pages.
  • Your own terms and privacy pages, either linked to pages you host elsewhere or pasted directly so Mentornity publishes them on your domain.
  • A custom sender email address, so outgoing notification emails can come from your organization’s address.
  • Optionally, SAML SSO layered on top, if your organization also wants it.

A white-labeled program can run with or without SAML SSO; the two are configured separately, even though they’re often requested in the same conversation.

Can you have one without the other?

Yes. White labeling and SAML SSO solve different problems, and plenty of organizations only need one of them:

  • A company running an internal mentoring program often cares most about SSO, so IT doesn’t have to manage a second set of credentials, and may be entirely happy with the standard Mentornity domain and look.
  • A public-facing or community program, an accelerator, a professional association, a customer-success mentoring offering, often cares most about the custom domain and branding so the program reads as part of their own site, with no particular need to force a specific login method.
  • Some organizations want both: a branded domain for how the program looks to the outside world, and SSO for how their own staff log in day to day.

Because the two are configured independently, you can ask for either one on its own, or both together, and describe which matters more to you when you reach out.

Who sets up SSO and white labeling, and how?

Neither one is self-serve. There is no SAML settings screen in the admin panel, and no edit screen for white-label settings either; both are configured by the Mentornity team. Your admin account can’t turn either feature on by itself.

In practice, this means getting either feature live is a conversation, not a form in your own settings. The team sets up the configuration, connects it to your program, and confirms it’s working before you rely on it. The same is true later: if you need to swap a logo, update your brand colors, add an alias domain, or change anything else about the setup, that goes through the same channel rather than an edit screen in your own admin account.

Day-to-day settings, like profile fields, matching rules, or session content, stay self-serve in your admin account as usual.

What do you need to provide?

For white labeling, you’ll need to have ready:

  • The domain you want your program to live on.
  • Your brand assets: logo, favicon, and the brand colors you want reflected in the interface.
  • Your terms and privacy text, or the links to where you already publish them, if you want those pages customized too.

For SAML SSO, you’ll be working from your identity provider’s own configuration. Exactly which details are needed depends on your identity provider, so the team will confirm the specifics with you when you reach out rather than this guide listing a fixed checklist.

How do members sign in once it’s set up?

If your organization has white labeling without mandatory SSO, members sign in the normal way, just on your branded domain and pages instead of a shared Mentornity one.

If your organization has mandatory SAML SSO, members are redirected to your identity provider’s own login screen instead of the usual Mentornity sign-in. Logging out goes through the same flow.

How do you get started?

Since neither feature is self-serve, the next step is to contact the Mentornity team directly with what you’re looking for, a custom domain and branding, SAML SSO, or both, and they’ll walk you through what’s needed for your organization’s setup. Contact the team to start that conversation.

Frequently asked questions

Can our admin turn on SAML SSO from the Mentornity settings page?

No. There's no SAML settings screen in the admin panel. SAML configuration is handled by the Mentornity team, so setting it up means contacting the team rather than flipping a switch yourself.

Can we set up white labeling (custom domain, logo, colors) ourselves?

No, not today. Every part of white labeling, domain, logos, colors, branded login pages, terms and privacy pages, is set up by the Mentornity team. Your admin account doesn't have an edit screen for any of it.

Do members need a separate password for single sign-on?

No. With SSO, members sign in with the identity they already use at your organization, through your identity provider, instead of a separate Mentornity sign-in.

Does white labeling require SAML SSO, or are they independent?

They're independent. White labeling covers domain and branding; SAML SSO covers how members authenticate. A white-labeled program can run with or without SAML SSO turned on.

How much do SAML SSO and white labeling cost?

We don't publish that here. Contact the team to talk about your setup and what it would involve.

What do we need to have ready before setting this up?

For white labeling: the domain you want to use, and your brand assets, logo, favicon, and brand colors. For SAML SSO: your identity provider's configuration details. The team will confirm exactly what's needed for your specific identity provider when you reach out.
